>>27423 this seems like a made up problem. Still doesn't explain what the Bernd I originally replied to was implying, anywwy. Also I don't believe they're conflating it with sexual lust. Doesn't even make sense in that context.
>>27425 >>27562 >>27465 Mab I love new old krautchan. Bernds here a so much more level headed than "over there". Not trying to be sarcastic or anything. Just so refreshing to see reasonable posts on the KC context. It has been so long.
>>27385 i mean real words not compounds
>>27616 Bump serious discussion.
Has to be "¿Queeeeeee?" for "Whaaaaat?". Only valid if delivered with a facial expression that borders retardation.

I used to have DSL 50/10. Between switching to a fiber contract and physically getting fiber (which is where I currently am), they at least unthrottled the upload of my DSL to get me closer to the speed I'm supposed to have with fiber... or something.
>>27874 Is that on a mountaintop? FWIW, at my parents, where fiber buildout has been "ongoing" for like three years now it seems likely that they... well, her, since he died in the meantime... will get it in the next half year. Deutsche Glasfaser, not even once, DSL speed is 3000/384. It is actually not terrible for most "regular" uses, but downloading large updates or torrents is annoying. Uploading large data is even more annoying. HD streaming usually works. Additional information: My first DSL connection (after moving out for university) had 384 kbit/s DOWNSTREAM and I was happy about it because I came from a modem connection. That was in 2003, when 768 was normally the slowest you could get. Our copper line was too long... >>27881 >10/10 gig FTTH WTF mang. How much do you pay for that?
Mine is 4g 40mbit/sec download ...

The limits of my language are the limits of my world.
In bed, everybody talks the same language tho.
Actually all human languages have an infinite set of structured sentences that are generated by the mind/brain. You really wouldn't need more than a few dozen words to basically have a rich capacity to describe the world. And of course people create new words all the time to expand the picture.
>>28145 And like in life, some have language talent and some don't
Unverifiable claim. Wittgenstein debunked.

Has Bernd ever had any encounters with the paranormal/aliens that can share?

When I was a kid we had a battery powered Santa toy just like the one in video related. It sat on a cabinet in the attic, forgotten and disused. One day (I must have been 5 or 6 years old, at most) I was looking for some unrelated thing, and it had gotten into my head that said thing must have been taken to the attic. As I went through a desk's drawers, the Santa toy caught my attention. It kind of frightened me, sitting there as if it was looking at me. So I bravely marched to it, flipped it over, opened the battery compartment and bam, no batteries. Slightly relieved it couldn't magically come to life and chase me, I went back to browsing through drawers. After not even five minutes (which felt like an eternity, because I was still afraid) the fucking thing, still there in the corner of my eye, starts humming the tune and shaking its damn bell. I immediately darted down the stairs yelling for my mom, as the thing kept blasting the tune. I don't remember clearly what happened after that. I think it quickly stopped, so I sent mom upstairs to check on it. There were still no batteries in it. Caveat: there were old singing Christmas cards in the drawers I was checking. Some of them had some battery power left, and did sound off when I opened them, but none had enough power to be heard two floors downstairs. To this day my mom swears she also heard Santa's tune. The end.

I watched a documentary about an alien encounter in hawaii
>>28271 That's a pretty creepy toy to be fair. The speaker has that dull tinny bass that you get from old toys.
It was late at night. I was in kitchen making foid in the dark. I turn around and I see a water balloon heading towards me, it was moonlight but I ducked when I saw it. The balloon hit the floor right in front of me and there was a loud splash sound. I fumbled to the light switch. But there was no water on the floor
yeah sometimes it does really feel like I'm an alien that has landed on earth because of the magnitude of pure assburgers I display often does that count

Toilet poopcam maker Kohler criticised for misleading advertising claiming to encrypt your poop pics, discovered to actually be collecting unencrypted pictures of your poop: >The initial issue with Kohler using the term "end-to-end encryption" is that it's not obvious how it could apply to their product. The term is generally used for applications that allow some kind of communication between users, and Kohler Health doesn't have any user-to-user sharing features. So while one "end" would be the user, it's not clear what the other end would be. >I thought Kohler might actually have implemented a related data protection method known as "client-side encryption", used by services like Apple's iCloud and the password manager 1Password. This technique allows an application to back up a user's data to the developers servers, or synchronize data between multiple devices owned by a user, without allowing anyone but the user to access the data. >But emails exchanged with Kohler's privacy contact clarified that the other "end" that can decrypt the data is Kohler themselves: "User data is encrypted at rest, when it's stored on the user's mobile phone, toilet attachment, and on our systems. Data in transit is also encrypted end-to-end, as it travels between the user's devices and our systems, where it is decrypted and processed to provide our service." Always read your toilet cam terms and conditions fine print, bernds https://varlogsimon.leaflet.pub/3m6zrw6k2bs2p

Australian plants are worthless. There are lots of useful spices and ingredients and such in Europe and almost wherever humans have went they have found useful things, they found coffee in Africa, Nutmeg in the west Indies, sugar cane, cocoa and potatoes in the new world etc. But when they came here they found nothing, there is nothing from Australia that people use to cook with or that has any use, really the only thing people took out of Australia was the gum tree and that is a terrible tree. Sad.
